Assistant Headteacher

 required for Cannon Lane Primary School


Full Time (permanent) L6-12 (Outer London weighting)


Required from September 2022


(part-time working may be considered)


The Headteacher and Governors are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Assistant Headteacher to be part of our dedicated team. The successful candidate will be passionate about improving outcomes for children and will have a proven track record of leading and motivating others.

Cannon Lane Primary is a popular 4 - form intake school in Pinner, Harrow.  We have an excellent reputation within the local community and are committed to ensuring that our children and our staff are happy, safe and successful.

The successful candidate will:

Be an experienced teacher who can demonstrate outstanding classroom practice

  • Be able to inspire, challenge and motivate all children to achieve
  • Be able to raise standards in teaching and learning whilst holding others to account
  • Have experience of working strategically as part of a leadership team
  • Have the confidence, skills and abilities to lead and manage a designated ‘phase’ of the school
  • Be able to analyse data to support school improvement
  • Be a positive role model in school, committed to the principles of inclusion
  • Be committed to fostering excellent relationships between parents, carers and the community
