School to School Support

As a large primary school, Cannon Lane School is committed to developing leadership at all levels.  We are part of the Harrow Teaching School Alliance and for a number of years we have been recognised as a ‘Learning Hub’ specialising is support for Phonics and Parental Engagement.  As part of this, we run a number of professional development courses in school for teachers and support staff from across Harrow.  This requires us to be confident in our own practice and have a proven track record in sharing this expertise with others. In addition to co-ordinating the work of ‘Learning Hubs’ we are also pleased to provide some strategic direction for Specialist Leaders in Education (SLEs) across the Borough.  This work is carried out in partnership with Stag Lane Primary School (Teaching School), the Harrow Education Partnership (HEP) and the Harrow Schools Standards and Effectiveness team (HSSE).
