This first document has come out to support parents in getting their children ready for Reception. This is in response to a school readiness survey that involved parents and teachers. We are finding that every year we have more and more children who are not ready. Obviously, if your child has special educational needs they may not be meeting these miles stones as yet. This is something we will work with your child on when they start school. Please read this document and if you have any questions or concerns about these milestones, please speak to Mrs Waldron or email the school office so we can support you in helping your child be ready for school.
Here is the Starting Reception Guide that you can print at home.
This is a new document that has come out for all parents to ensure that their child is fully toilet trained before attending school. We expect all children to be fully toilet trained by the time they come to Reception, however we do know that some children with Special Educational Needs may not be ready yet. There are some helpful ideas on how to toiet train your child in this document and if you have any questions please do speak to Mrs Waldron.
